Plagiarism Screening
Darunnajah in Economics (DIEC) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and originality in all published articles.
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and similarity using Turnitin or other appropriate plagiarism-detection software before proceeding to the peer-review process.
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission or may be rejected by the editorial team.
The similarity score is evaluated carefully by the editors because legitimate similarities, such as references, commonly used terminology, methodological expressions, and properly cited quotations, may contribute to the overall similarity index.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly acknowledging all sources used.
If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified after publication, DIEC may take appropriate action, including correction, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the seriousness of the violation.
DIEC applies a maximum similarity threshold of 20% as part of its commitment to maintaining originality, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly publishing.
